What personal data we collect

This website collects personal data from you directly in two places. The first is the contact form, where we ask for:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • your phone number (optional)
  • your company name (optional)
  • the service you are interested in
  • your message

The second is the "Chat to us" assistant. It answers common questions automatically inside your browser — the questions you type are not sent to us or to anyone else while you are only asking questions. If you choose to leave your email address or mobile number so that we can follow up, we receive:

  • the email address or mobile number you give;
  • your name, if you choose to give it; and
  • the questions you asked the assistant in that conversation, so we can follow up on them.

We do not collect any other personal data from you through this website. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records ordinary server logs (for example, IP address, browser type and pages requested) to keep the site secure and working. This website does not use analytics or tracking tools of any kind, so no separate profile of your visit is built from those logs.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use the information you submit through the contact form or the chat assistant to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to take steps you request before we enter into an agreement with you. Under UK GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases:

  • Legitimate interests — replying to enquiries sent to us is a legitimate interest of ours and of yours, and we do not believe it is outweighed by your interests or rights.
  • Steps prior to entering into a contract — where your enquiry concerns instructing us, we may use your data to take the steps you ask for before any engagement is agreed.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making, and we do not send marketing communications unless you separately ask us to.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal data. We may share the information you submit with:

  • our email delivery provider, which transmits enquiry emails to our team; and
  • our hosting provider, which stores server logs and hosts this website.

We share data with these providers only so far as is necessary to operate the website and respond to your enquiry.

International transfers

Some of the providers we use to run this website are based outside the United Kingdom, so this transfer is real rather than hypothetical. Cookies

This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics or advertising tools.

Our Contact page shows a Google Maps map of our office. The map loads when you scroll to it; at that point your browser makes a request to Google to display it, Google may set its own cookies, and Google's own privacy policy and terms apply to that request. The map is not loaded on any other page of this website.
